Social Media

In my journey as a digital marketing professional, I've had the privilege of working for an eCommerce brand, where I focused on content management, curation, and production. Through strategic efforts, I successfully generated high engagement posts on Reddit, driving substantial traffic to our company's Etsy shop.

Below are some of the highlights:

In this screenshot, you can see the engagement metrics from a Reddit post I crafted for our eCommerce brand. Despite blurring the usernames, you can clearly see the impact it had, with a high number of upvotes and comments. This post resulted in a significant boost in traffic to our Etsy shop, directly impacting our sales (see gallery below for more). While success on Reddit won’t result in a following, careful and purposeful channeling of interest results in organic growth on vendor platforms and social media.

By directing commentators from Reddit to our social media and ensuring all of our customers are informed about our social media pages to provide the best customer experience, we were able to organically grow to 14.8 thousand followers on Instagram. I'd love nothing more than to take credit for this organic growth, but honestly, we had a beautiful product, a very capable client service team, exceptional quality of photography and videography, not to mention the amazing blacksmiths who made the product. All that was needed of me was a basic ability to connect with the target audience and create compelling content. With all of these elements of success, growth on social media is not rocket science; it’s pretty much guaranteed.
