Writing

I love writing. I shadowrite, write under my own name, write for fun, write for money, write for free. It’s both my job and my hobby. When I’m not writing, I’m either reading or sleeping.

Here I link to three examples of my writing - one written for fun, one for my current employer, one for my previous employer.

Shadowriting for my current employer. Goal of series of articles: to establish the author as a subject matter expert with a friendly, approachable tone of voice. Distribution: links sent via mailshot, linked on company social media and accessible through /blog on the company website.

In December 2020 I was about to move to the UK, my flight was scheduled for December 27, right after Boxing day. Three days before Christmas, Boris Johnson went on television and informed the world that a new fast-spreading strain of coronavirus had been detected in Britain. My flight was cancelled, my plans delayed and I might have vented a little bit by writing a short story.

The workshop had to relocate, and despite its dire financial situation, it aspired to expand and hire and train as many victims of war and political refugees as it possibly could.

A new brand and a new mission were born.

The “How to Take Care of Your New Chef Knife” brochure had to be reworked and expanded to spread the message and establish the business as an entity that took a stance in the current political climate and made commitments to be a force for good in the world. This is one of the many texts that supported the evolution of the business and ensured its continued existence.
